NASBA Supports Agape Mission

On December 3rd, Agape Animal Rescue humbly accepted a $1,000 donation from National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) Community Reinvestment Committee. Since March of 2013, the committee has been dedicated to offering financial support to charitable events, activities, and organizations in which their employees are actively involved. Elizabeth Stanton is one such employee, having adopted her adoring Basset/Beagle mix, Clara, from Agape nearly two years ago. Clara was found roaming the streets before she was turned into Agape. It was love at first lick after meeting Elizabeth and her husband, Ryan.

President and chief executive officer of NASBA, Ken Bishop, was on site to present the award to Agape’s Executive Director Tanya Willis. “We are extremely grateful for NASBA’s consideration and generous donation,” remarked Tanya. “We look forward to saving more lives in Clara’s honor.”

Agape plans to use this donation to further their foster program, which provides a personal, loving and stable environment for adoptable dogs. Agape has rescued over 1,000 pets from euthanasia and placed them in these “forever” homes, and with the charitable donation from NASBA, are able to assist many more this holiday season.
