Applebee’s Raises $5037!!

Agape Animal Rescue would like to extend a big THANK YOU to The Woodland Group, an Applebee’s franchise in Middle Tennessee, for their generous support of animals in need this summer. During the months of May and June, several Applebee’s restaurants in the Nashville area pledged to donate 10% of all curbside sales to Agape Animal Rescue as part of their Paws for Carside event. They also asked diners to consider donating $1 or more in exchange for a paper paw to honor or remember a pet or someone they love.

Well, the numbers are in and we are excited to report some paw-some results! Thanks to the contributions of the restaurants and the generous donations of their patrons, Applebee’s helped us raise over $5,200 for our rescue dogs. Let’s give them a big round of a-paws!

Applebee’s believes strongly in giving back to organizations in their communities, and makes a special effort to include the needs of animals among the causes they support. We invited them to attend our annual Glitter & Glam fundraising event on July 27 as a special guest, and were delighted to have Applebee’s representative Mike Baldwin present the company’s Paws for Carside donation during the event.

“We appreciate Applebee’s so much because without our sponsors like them, we can’t save animals,” said Tanya Willis, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Agape Rescue. “With their support, we can continue our mission of finding forever homes for abandoned and displaced dogs, while also educating the public to be more responsible pet owners.”
