Kara Allen

Kara Allen, Board of Directors

Born and raised in Cadiz, Kentucky, Kara Allen was surrounded by a large and loving family which always included a dog. Throughout her childhood, her pets were always there; not just a part of life but as a member of the family. A creative and vivacious child, she loved playing dress up with her dogs to sometimes include clothing, a stroller and even roller skates. She remains very close to her family, and enjoys returning to her roots in Kentucky to spend quality time with them as often as she can.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University, she now works as a Marketing Supervisor of a regional accounting firm.  She is a Young Leaders Council Alumna and is also a part of the Junior League of Nashville, where is actively involved.  She has one four-legged daughter named Audrey Patrick, rescued from a puppy mill in Kentucky on St. Patrick’s Day.

Over the years she has remained passionate about the animals in her own life. After moving to Nashville, she found herself inspired by Agape and their missions of finding a dog their forever home. She also found Agape’s welcoming and caring attitude inviting. She looks forward to serving Agape’s Board of Directors and said that she wants to “help them spread the love.” She hopes to put her education, her leadership skills, her dedication and her love of animals into practice during her work with Agape.
