Eddie and Tamara "Taj" George and Family Host Red Carpet Fashion Event to Benefit Agape Animal Rescue

Join us on April 18, 2010, when former Titans' legend Eddie George and his wife Tamara "Taj" George will host Nashville's most unique fashion show of the year. This night of elegance will go to the dogs-literally. That's when Loews Vanderbilt Hotel will roll out the red carpet for the second annual Glitter & Glam: A Wine Tasting and Fashion Show for the Animals.

With his passionate and competitive spirit, Eddie George has carved a special niche for himself in the professional sports arena, particularly the NFL where he is only the second NFL running back to rush for 10,000 yards while never missing a start. Tamara A. Johnson-George is known to most as "Taj," one third of the nineties multi-platinum R&B group, Sisters with Voices (SWV). Together the George's are one dynamic duo!

Eddie and Tamara are committed to helping each other, but more importantly, in helping others. "Team George" has broadened their work as philanthropists by donating time and money to various charities, including their own foundation, Visions with Infinite Possibilities (VIP). They are widely recognized for promoting health and wellness in the community, and are now reaching out to support Agape Animal Rescue.

Hosted by Agape, Glitter and Glam will be held from 5-8 pm. This year's show will feature glamorous women's, men's and children's fashions from Russian-born designer Olia Zavozina, and of course, the crowd-pleasing doggie models strutting their stuff down the runway.

Plus we've got more than $12,000 worth of amazing silent auction items including: Ronald G. Baldwin art valued at more than $3,000, weekend getaways at Loews Hotels in Miami, Nashville and Washington D.C., a team-autographed Predators jersey, Jack Daniels swag bag, designer dog apparel, and much more!

This is a great chance to enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres, fashion, and darling furry friends while saving rescued dogs' lives -- all in one night!

"Last year's event was a great success, and this year's will be bigger and better," says Agape founder and director, Tanya Willis. "It will commemorate how far we've come and how many lives have been saved through our efforts."
