VanderbiltAgape Provides Stress Relief for Vandy Students

VanderbiltWhen Service Chair for Vanderbilt Loves Animals, Meagan Williams, wanted to provide Vanderbilt students a dog-friendly "stress break" from December finals, she knew just who to call. Agape! (right: Mack and Simon wait for a treat)

Hoping to give fellow students an opportunity to forget their study woes for just a few hours, Meagan organized and put on a social where dogs were aplenty … there to provide love, laughs and wagging tails for all the study-weary students. Held December 13, 2007, on the Vandy campus, Agape volunteers Tayna Stephenson and Gayle Kerr brought two of their personal dogs who did not mind braving the exceptionally cold weather! Labs Simon and Mack had a blast, schmoozing with all the college kids and providing a much needed stress break. The Vanderbilt students came in droves to interact with the dogs, and though it was quite chilly, there were warm laughs and warm hugs all afternoon. Not to mention lots of tasty hot chocolate and plenty of dog treats!

VanderbiltVanderbiltThank you, Meagan, for letting us share Simon and Mack with your Commodore friends. It was a wonderful time. (right: the students enjoy giving Mack a belly rub)
