Profile:
Hi, I’m Bristol! I’m 1-1/2-year-old lab mix who is so irresistible, you can’t pass me up! I was first rescued from the Maury County Animal Shelter by a very nice woman, but unfortunately, she could no longer take care of me. So she turned me over to the nice people at Agape because she knew they could find me a good home! I am awesome with kids and I LOVED my previous owner’s two-year-old son. I was very gentle with him, even though he and I could play wrestle all day long. (I always let him win, of course!) I miss my little boy, but maybe my forever family will include a child … or two. That would be my dream family! I am a social girl and wonderful with other dogs, big and small, yet another advantage for having me as a family companion! If you’ve ever met that stereotypical lab – really laidback, relaxed, nice to everyone – that’s me, except I’m even sweeter! If you’re interested in adopting the sweetest, most laidback, perfect lab for your family, call Agape Animal Rescue at (615)406-7799 or email info@agaperescue.org for more information. I can’t help it if I’m this amazing! Let’s meet and I’ll show you every word is true.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Agape, here is what you can expect. On average we spend $350+ per dog while they are in foster care with us, but the adoption fee is typically only $175.00 per dog. Our dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and all other medical needs have been taken care of. Many times the dogs we rescue require over $1,000 in medical bills, but the adoption fee remains the same.

After you’ve decided to learn more about a potential dog for your family, you should fill out the application: http://www.agaperescue.org/ApplyOnlineNew.php. This will help us help you make the best match for your family and lifestyle! After we receive your application, we will ask and answer any questions that may be relevant, and set up a time for your family to meet your potential forever friend! Please understand that our foster parents all work full time jobs and foster on a volunteer basis. We will do the best we can to accommodate everyone’s schedules when setting up times to meet a dog. If you decide to move on to the next step in the adoption process, we will work out a time to bring the dog to your house for a home visit. Don’t worry; this is not a white glove test to see how many times you dust per week. This is simply an opportunity for everyone to see the dog in your environment to make sure this is the right decision, and that the dog is a good fit for your family. We never want to pressure a family into adopting a dog, so you are welcome to take a night or two to think things over before committing to adoption. If your family falls head over heels in love with the dog, and we feel like the dog is a great fit for your family, then of course we will schedule a day for your new best friend to come back for his permanent adoption into your home! You will be provided with all medical records, reading material to help you with the transition period, and a standard adoption contract.

We appreciate that you are considering a rescued dog, as we have many on the waiting list needing our services, and they all deserve amazing forever homes! When you adopt from Agape you save two lives: the one you adopt, and the one that we are able to bring into our program because you have opened up a spot in foster care! Please contact us with any questions and we look forward to meeting you soon!
