Unfortunately, man’s best friend is not always treated like man’s best friend.  Our dogs come from a variety of situations:  abandonment, abuse, neglect.  In many cases, owners’ lives change and the family dog is not seen as a family member, often ending up in a shelter or worse yet, out on the street.  We at AGAPE are dedicated to giving our dogs a better chance at life.  Through our foster care training program, we strive to provide these dogs with more than just a safe temporary home.  Our goal is to teach them good house manners and basic obedience skills, including how to walk nicely on a leash.  Depending on how long our dogs are in foster care, they will have learned basic commands like SIT, STAY, DOWN, SIT TO PET, SAY HI, and more.

Should you decide to adopt one of our dogs, the dog’s foster parent will discuss with you your new dog’s vocabulary, so the transition into your home can go as smoothly as possible. Our dedicated foster homes are committed to providing a loving environment where basic training skills and emotional stability are priorities.
